Structural & Engine Components for Commercial Aviation

Commercial aerospace manufacturing demands a combination of precision, repeatability, and rigorous quality documentation that few machine shops can sustain across production volumes. ADMI has earned its position as a Boeing DPD/MBD approved supplier by consistently delivering structural and engine-adjacent components that meet or exceed the dimensional, material, and documentation requirements of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer.

Our Boeing Digital Product Definition (DPD) and Model-Based Definition (MBD) approval means ADMI is qualified to manufacture directly from Boeing’s 3D model data without traditional 2D drawings. This model-based manufacturing approach reduces interpretation errors, accelerates programming cycles, and ensures that every feature on every part traces directly to the authoritative design model. It represents the future of aerospace manufacturing, and ADMI is already there.

Beyond Boeing programs, ADMI supports the broader commercial aerospace supply chain with structural fittings, system brackets, and hardware for regional jet, business aviation, and commercial helicopter platforms. Our 14 CNC machines, including 5-axis centers and large-envelope mills, handle the full range of commercial aerospace part sizes from small actuator components to full-scale wing rib sections.

Aerospace-Grade Quality at Every Step

The core aerospace material portfolio, from high-strength aluminum plate to nickel superalloys for engine-adjacent applications.

Incoming Material Verification

Every lot of raw material is verified against the purchase order, material certification, and applicable AMS/ASTM/BAC specifications. Material certs are retained and linked to production lot records for full backward traceability to the mill source.

First Article Inspection (AS9102)

Complete first article inspection reports per AS9102 standard including full dimensional verification of every feature, material certification review, and process documentation. FAI packages are submitted for customer approval before production release.

In-Process Inspection

Critical dimensions are verified at defined intervals throughout the machining process. In-process inspection points are established during manufacturing planning and documented on operation sheets with go/no-go criteria.

Statistical Process Control

Production runs are monitored using SPC charts to track dimensional trends and maintain process capability indices (Cpk) at customer-required levels. Out-of-trend conditions trigger corrective action before parts go out of specification.

Final CMM Verification

Finished components undergo coordinate measuring machine inspection to verify all critical dimensions and geometric tolerances. CMM reports are included in the delivery documentation package with measurement data traceable to NIST standards.
