Engineering Support

Full-service engineering and design capabilities from initial concept through validated production, bridging the gap between your idea and a finished part.

— Overview

From Concept to Production-Ready

ADMI provides comprehensive engineering and design services that take your project from napkin sketch to production-validated component. Our engineering team works alongside your designers and program engineers to optimize parts for manufacturability, reduce lead times, and ensure first-pass quality on every machined component.

As a Boeing-approved DPD/MBD supplier, we are equipped to receive and manufacture from Model-Based Definition datasets — eliminating 2D drawing interpretation errors and accelerating the transition from digital design to finished hardware. Our CAD/CAM programmers generate optimized toolpaths for our fleet of 14 CNC machines, ensuring every feature is cut with the right strategy for the material and tolerance at hand.

Whether you need a single prototype evaluated for machinability or full-rate production programming for a multi-year contract, ADMI’s engineering team delivers the technical depth that aerospace and defense programs demand.

Every machine in our facility is equipped with high-pressure through-spindle coolant, precision probing systems, and is maintained on a rigorous preventive maintenance schedule. Our programming team uses the latest CAM software to optimize tool paths for efficiency, surface finish, and tool life, reducing cycle times without compromising quality.

We machine the full range of aerospace materials: aluminum alloys (6061, 7075, 2024), titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), Inconel (625, 718), stainless steels (303, 304, 316, 17-4PH), A286 iron-based superalloy, and refractory metals including molybdenum, tantalum, and tungsten. Whether your part requires deep pocket milling in aluminum or aggressive roughing in Inconel, our equipment and expertise are ready.

— Services

Engineering & Design Services

Technical expertise that ensures your parts are designed right and manufactured right the first time.

DFM Analysis

Design for Manufacturability reviews that identify cost drivers, tolerance stack-ups, and process risks before metal is cut. We recommend material, finish, and feature modifications that reduce cost without sacrificing function.

CAD/CAM Programming

Expert toolpath development optimized for our 3-axis and 5-axis CNC fleet. Programs are verified through simulation to ensure collision-free operation, optimal cycle times, and surface finish compliance.

Reverse Engineering

Recreate legacy parts from physical samples when drawings are unavailable or outdated. We use CMM scanning and manual measurement to generate accurate 3D models and production-ready documentation.

Prototype Development

Rapid prototyping from your 3D model or concept sketch. First articles machined from production-grade materials with full dimensional reporting to validate form, fit, and function before committing to volume production.

Model-Based Definition

Boeing DPD/MBD-approved supplier. We manufacture directly from 3D annotated models, eliminating 2D drawing ambiguity and ensuring the digital thread is maintained from design through delivery.

Process Optimization

Continuous improvement of machining strategies, fixturing approaches, and setup sequences. We reduce cycle times, minimize scrap, and improve first-pass yield through data-driven process refinement.

Toolpath Development

Advanced multi-axis toolpath strategies including trochoidal milling, adaptive clearing, and rest-machining techniques that extend tool life and maintain dimensional stability in difficult alloys.
